Lancaster, PA – On Wednesday, March 13th, the Lancaster County Commissioners issued a proclamation honoring Women’s History Month and the women who have helped to shape Lancaster County.
The Commissioners were joined by women leaders in Lancaster County Government to recognize the impact they have made and their service to the 550,000 residents of the county. In its history, Lancaster County has seen women lead the way on the establishment of charitable, philanthropic, and cultural institutions and they continue to play a crucial role in the economic, cultural, and social environments of the county.
“It was an honor to present this proclamation and stand with my fellow women leaders in Lancaster County Government who have answered the call to serve their community” said County Commissioner Alice Yoder “It is important to recognize the women who have made such a profound impact on our community and our nation and for them to serve as inspiration for the next generation of female leaders across all fields.”
All citizens of Lancaster County are encouraged to explore the critical economic, cultural and social roles women have played and continue to play in every sphere of life in Lancaster County, the Commonwealth, and the Nation.
