The Lancaster County Commissioners unanimously voted to approve $287,500 for the building of a new and larger facility that specializes in treatment of complex genetic disorders and serves Lancaster’s Old Order Amish and Mennonite communities.
This project, totaling $6,200,000 will create a 25,500 square foot, three floor healthcare facility in Leacock Township.
The Clinic for Special Children was founded in 1989 to provide compassionate care for children and adults with complex genetic disorders. This clinic is unique because the doctors and nurses provide both primary and specialty care such as genetics, audiology, endocrinology, neurology, and mental health services.
