Pay County Tax Bill Online

  2. General Information

    • Taxes must be filed and paid based on their filing/payment frequency.
    • The taxpayer is responsible for making sure the payment has posted on time relative for the chosen payment choice.  To verify payment deadlines, visit the Treasurer’s Website.
    • Payment plans are not available online and must be processed in the Treasurer's Office. Partial payments will not be accepted. Full payment only.
    • Funds must be drawn from a United States bank account.
    • The County of Lancaster serves as the real estate (not income) tax collector for 40 of our municipalities. See the Treasurer’s Website for a complete list of which taxes are collected by local tax collector or the County of Lancaster. All other municipalities need to contact their municipality tax collector.
    • In the case of a returned payment, you will be notified. Fees for processing will incur.
    • Taxes may be paid at any Lancaster County Fulton Bank Branch, the Treasurer’s Office, via mail, or online.

    • Online Tax Claim payments will be turned off 
      1. approximately one week before June 30
      2. approximately one week before the scheduled Upset Tax Sale
      3. approximately one week before Continued Upset & Judicial Tax Sale
      4. after December 20th for Tax Claim and current year Collections end of year settlement (December 31)

    Payment Methods

    • Pay in person at any Fulton Bank branch in Lancaster County or at the Treasurer’s Office
      1. You may now pay your property tax bill at any Fulton Bank branch location throughout Lancaster County. You must present a copy of your tax bill to the bank's teller.
      2. If you wish to pay at the Treasurer's Office, the Treasurer’s Office is located at the Lancaster County Government Center, 150 North Queen Street, 1st floor, Lancaster, PA 17603 Monday – Friday, from 8:30am-4:30pm (except for County Holidays).
      3. Payments in the form of cash, money order or checks made out to Lancaster County Treasurer are accepted.
      4. Returned checks are subject to a $25 NSF fee in the Treasurer’s Office, applicable Fulton Bank fees, and $50 NSF Fee in the Tax Claims.
    • Mail-in Payment
      1. Mail-in payments must be in the form of check or money order.  No cash will be accepted.
      2. Mail payments to: Lancaster County Treasurer, PO BOX 3894 Lancaster, PA 17604   Please send with your payment stub (remittance copy). If you do not have your remittance copy, you should list your account number and parcel number with address on your check.
      3. Treasurer’s payments must be postmarked on/before the payment due date. Tax Claim payments must be paid before the beginning of the new month (prior to interest accruing) and the Tax Claim bureau does not honor the postmarked date.
      4. Returned checks are subject to a $25 NSF fee in the Treasurer’s Office and $50 NSF Fee in the Tax Claims.
    • Online Payment
      1. This Online Payment was created as a service to give Lancaster County Property Owners additional tax payment options.
      2. Lancaster County Government has worked diligently to ensure that the information contained in this electronic document is accurate.
      3. Taxes paid online will be charged to your credit card within 24 hours. It can take up to 4 business days for your tax record to be updated with the tax office. Users may call the Treasurer’s Office at 717.299.8222 if verification is needed prior to that time. 
      4. The Property Assessment Office makes no warranty or guarantee concerning the accuracy or reliability of the content at this site or any other sites to which we link. 
      5. Determining the accuracy and reliability of this information is the responsibility of the user.

      9. You are using the Online Bill Payment option of your free will. The vendor which processes the payment works to provide comprehensive protection from data breach and the County of Lancaster is not responsible should that occur.
      10. This system only works best using Google Chrome, but is supported in most major browsers.  Issues may occur due to specific browser settings such as having websites blocked.
      11. There are three methods to pay online –via e-check, debit, or credit card.
      12. Convenience Fees will be changing March 1st.
        • EFT $2.00
        • Debit $4.00
        • Credit Card 2.55% with minimum amount of $2.00.

    : please note that once you agree to the terms and conditions by clicking the button below, you will want to enter the "ACCOUNT NUMBER" found on your tax bill in the "PARCEL NUMBER" field in order to find your property. If you enter your Account Number in the Parcel Number field, you do not need to enter any other information as the system will match your Account Number with your Property Address. Just enter your Account Number in the Parcel Number field and click on "Search."
