** On November 1, 2023, Governor Josh Shapiro reauthorized the collection of the collection of the temporary surcharge portion of the Judicial Computer Project/Access to Justice/Criminal Justice Enhancement/Office of Attorney General (JCP/ATJ/CJEA/OAG) fee.  Effective immediately, the reinstated fee of $40.25 is again being collected for all cases. **

  • EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 30th, 2023, THE LANCASTER COUNTY PROTHONOTARY WILL BE MOVING TO AN INHOUSE E-FILING SYSTEM.  REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN ON OCTOBER 30, 2023. THE NEW SYSTEM WILL ALLOW US TO SERVE YOU BETTER AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE.  NEW E-FILING (click here).

LANCASTER COUNTY PROTHONOTARY WILL BE IMPLAMENTING A NEW FEE BILL STARTING OCTOBER 30TH, 2023. HERE IS A PREVIEW OF THE FEE BILL.


  • EFFECTIVE MONDAY,  OCTOBER 17, 2022, THE LANCASTER COUNTY PROTHONOTARY WILL BE ACCEPTING ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS FOR ANY TRANSACTION; EXCLUDING U.S DEPARTMENT OF STATE PASSPORT FEES. A CONVENIENCE FEE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE CREDIT CARD PROCESSOR WILL BE APPLIED AT THE RATE OF 2.19% FOR CREDIT CARD AND 1.79% FOR DEBIT.
