Law-enforcement officials, including a Lancaster County SERT unit, responded Friday morning to an incident in Mount Joy Borough.
Police were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of South Plum Street about 7:50 a.m. for a report of a male who indicated he wanted to harm himself. The man, 26, reportedly had a firearm.
The SERT unit determined the man was alone in the home and had made statements about harming himself.
The SERT unit made had dialogue with the man, in efforts to have him come out peacefully.
About 11:30 a.m., the man came out of the home. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.
No charges have been filed as of this time.
Medical personnel is evaluating the man.
