Cars, motorcycles, Nike Air Jordan sneakers and numerous other items seized in local drug forfeitures will be on the auction block this Saturday, May 20.
The 27th annual Lancaster County Drug Task Force Public Auction is at Lancaster County Park Building, 950 Eshelman Mill Road.
Gates open at 8 a.m; the auction starts at 9 a.m. Vehicles will be auctioned at noon.
The Lancaster County Task Force is a team of detectives and investigators devoted to stopping illegal drug trafficking across the county.
The Task Force is primarily funded by voluntary contributions from municipalities and through drug forfeiture gains. Forfeitures are assets and cash used and/or gained by drug dealers from and/or for their criminal enterprise.
The Task Force operates under District Attorney Craig Stedman.
“Considering the still-escalating opioid epidemic,” Stedman said Thursday, “funding for the Task Force has never been more critical.”
Attached is a flyer including many of the items up for auction. Cash or approved Pennsylvania checks are accepted as payment.
