[ARCHIVED] State Prison Inmate Gets Additional Sentence for Rape of 2nd Girl

A Lancaster County man already in prison for rape of a girl was recently sentenced to an additional prison term for sex abuse of a second victim.

Phillip Langley, 38, was sentenced in 2013 to 10 to 20 years in prison for rape of an 11-year-old girl.

A second girl then came forward to report abuse and Langley was charged and convicted of additional counts, including rape.

Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker recently sentenced Langley to 9 to 20 years, per a plea agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield.

That sentence will be served consecutively to the first term, Judge Reinaker ordered.

The latest conviction regards abuse between 2003 and 2011, beginning when the girl was 9.

In court, the victim read a later of how the abuse impacted her life.

Manheim Township police Detective Sarah Goss and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Linda Gerow filed charges.
