A Lancaster woman recently admitted to robbing a Lancaster Township Turkey Hill store, at gunpoint, twice in three days.
Kathleen Moore, 48, displayed a gun in her waistband May 1 and May 3 when she approached clerks at the store at 1204 Millersville Pike.
Moore pleaded guilty last week in Lancaster County Court to felony counts of robbery and misdemeanor theft, according to Assistant District Attorney Travis S. Anderson, lead prosecutor.
Also last week, David Roark pleaded guilty to getting rid of the gun displayed in the robberies.
Roark, 60, pleaded guilty to felony hindering apprehension and misdemeanor tampering with evidence in exchange for a sentence of time served to 23 months. Roark served about 4 months in prison and will serve the next 19 months on parole.
In recorded prison phone calls, Roark told Moore that police will never find the gun because he “will get rid of it.” The gun was never recovered.
Roark did not participate in the robberies.
Lancaster County Judge James Cullen accepted Moore’s guilty plea and will order sentence on Dec. 2.
As part of sentence, Moore will be ordered to pay back over $1,000 in restitution which was stolen in the robberies.
Surveillance cameras captured Moore committing the robberies. Police released images to the public and received tips on the robber’s identity.
Manheim Township police Detective Nicholas Fritz filed charges.
