A Millersville man is charged with raping two females and molesting four children last year at multiple locations.
Lancaster city and Manor Township police charged 20-year-old Derric M. Harsh Jr. with several counts of sex abuse, including rape, a first-degree felony.
Harsh is at Lancaster County Prison on $750,000 bail.
The crimes happened between June and December of 2015.
In June or July, Harsh raped a 15-year-old female in a vehicle parked at Stone Mill Plaza on Columbia Avenue, Manor Township.
On Dec. 5, 2015, Harsh raped another female, 19, twice at a home in the 200 block of Juniata Street, Lancaster city.
Harsh confessed to those incidents to police.
He also is charged with threatening to kill the woman from the Juniata Street incident if she reported the rape, holding a knife to her.
During the course of those investigations, police learned of children involved in separate incidents.
Harsh is charged with molesting four girls, ages 6 to 13, November 2015, also at the Juniata Street home.
He is at Lancaster County Prison on $500,000 bail regarding the rape case from Juniata Avenue.
All other charges were filed this week; Harsh hasn’t been arraigned yet on those.
Harsh’s bail was initially set at $50,000, until Assistant District Attorney Christopher Sarno, who approved the charges, petitioned for higher bail, due to the other criminal cases.
A Lancaster County Judge raised bail to $500,000.
Lancaster city police Detective Glenn Stoltzfus and Manor Township police Detective Tricia Mazur filed the charges.
Harsh is presumed innocent.
