In the matter of the Commonwealth v. Larry L. Bink, 1534-2013, Defendant was found guilty by a jury of Simple Assault and two counts of Harassment on December 20, 2013. During a day and a half trial in front of Judge Wright, the Commonwealth established that Defendant approached a co-worker, his victim, at work on December 20, 2012 and Defendant pushed him in the chest, and threw a punch at his chest. Defendant then picked up a framing hammer and threw it at the victim twice. The victim immediately reported this incident. The union steward testified that he appeared shaken and somber, which was unusual. Following approximately 7 ½ hours of deliberation, the jury found Defendant guilty of simple assault. Thereafter, Judge Wright found Defendant guilty of the two summary charges of Harassment. A pre-sentence investigation report was ordered, and the date for sentencing is to be announced.
