A former Lititz-area man has been convicted of felony sex abuse of a child that went on for six years, beginning in 2003.
A Lancaster County jury convicted 37-year-old Chad Earl Frantz on Wednesday afternoon, following an hour and 45 minutes of deliberation, according to Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield, who won the conviction.
Frantz was convicted of ten charges - seven felonies - including rape of a child. He will be sentenced when a background check and sex-offender assessment is completed in about three months.

Frantz, who had since moved to Chester County, is at Lancaster County Prison on $1 million bail. Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker raised bail to that amount following the jury’s verdict. President Judge Reinaker will decide the sentence.
A jury was selected Monday morning; testimony went into Wednesday.
Frantz abused the girl, beginning when she was 4, at an apartment on Hopeland Road in Clay Township.
Northern Lancaster County Regional police Detective Eric Zimmerman filed charges.
