A New Providence man will serve at least 18 months in prison for contacting his ex-girlfriend over 75 times in a day, then leading police on a 10-mile vehicle chase.
Jeremy Neuhauser called and text-messaged the woman repeatedly – threatening to kill her during one call – on July 6 and 7, East Hempfield Township police reported.
“I’m going to kill you, you (expletive,)” he told her during one call, police reported.
Five days later, he fled Lancaster city police who tried to take him into custody for the illegal contact.
Neuhauser, 37, led officers on a 17-minute chase through multiple Lancaster County jurisdictions.
On Friday in county court, Neuhauser pleaded guilty to fleeing police, a felony, misdemeanor counts of making terroristic threats and harassment, and related charges, in exchange for a 1.5-to-3-year prison sentence.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Lefever negotiated the plea agreement, which was accepted by Lancaster County Judge Donald Totaro.
As part of sentence, Neuhauser also was ordered to pay $30,000 in restitution for damages to police vehicles and property at Manheim Auto Auction.
Police caught him there, deploying a stun gun after he fled on foot.
Neuhauser is also prohibited from having contact with the woman.
East Hempfield and Lancaster city police filed charges.
