PoliceLights3

Police are investigating a vehicle collision Tuesday evening in East Earl Township that seriously injured a pedestrian.

An eastbound vehicle – a gray Saturn sedan - struck a woman who was on the road in the 1000 block of Main Street (Route 23) about 6:30 p.m.

East Earl Township police are investigating, with assistance from Lancaster County Detectives.

The collision happened in a heavily-traveled area, so it is believed there were witnesses to the incident.

Anyone who saw what happened or has information is asked to call police at 717-354-2211, or use the SUBMIT A TIP button at the bottom of this CrimeWatch page.

The collision happened just west of Route 322 and Shady Maple Farm Market.

The pedestrian, an elderly woman who lives in the area, was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.

The driver of the Saturn did stop at the scene and provided information to investigators.
