A Lancaster man will serve up to 10 years in prison for selling fentanyl-laced heroin last year in a city alley.
Jerome Johnson, 32, pleaded guilty to felony counts of delivery of fentanyl and criminal use of a communication facility (a cellphone) regarding the Oct. 19, 2018, sale.
In exchange for the plea, Johnson will serve 4 to 10 years in prison, in accordance with an agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Barry Goldman.
Lancaster County Judge Jeffery Wright accepted the plea terms and ordered sentence.
Johnson’s criminal record covers 20 years and includes prison time for drugs and firearms convictions.
In the recent case, Johnson sold a quantity of fentanyl-laced heroin under police surveillance.
The Lancaster city police Selective Enforcement Unit filed charges.
