A Reading man will serve up to 20 years in prison for sexual abuse of two girls ten years ago in Lancaster.

Juan R. Silva, 46, was convicted at trial in January of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors regarding the abuse in 2008.

At a recent hearing, Lancaster County Judge Jeffery Wright jailed Silva for 10 to 20 years.

Assistant District Attorney Amy Muller, who won the conviction, told the judge Silva has taken no responsibly and shown no remorse for the crimes.

At trial, Muller presented evidence of the abuse at a home on South Prince Street. The victims disclosed what happened in 2016.

At sentencing, Muller acknowledged relatives of the victims, who appeared in court, for their support.

Lancaster city police Detective Aaron Harnish filed charges. The Hillsboro County Sheriff’s Office (Fla.) assisted in the investigation.
