[ARCHIVED] June 13 Fundraiser at Funck’s Features Local Cops Waiting Tables to Benefit Special Olympians

Fundraiser Flier

Please considering supporting Lancaster County’s Special Olympians on June 13 at Funck’s Restaurant in Leola.

Local police officers will be waiting tables, with their tips going to our local Special Olympics athletes. (Keep in mind, some of the officers do not have food-serve experience!)

Also, Todd Umstead, a musician and lieutenant with Lancaster city police, will be playing a free set, with his tips also going to the athletes.

Last year’s event at the former Roseville Tavern helped send local athlete Brooks to compete at State College, where he won three medals. (The volunteers and Brooks are pictured.)

This year’s event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Funck’s Restaurant, 365 West Main St., Leola.

All are welcome, so swing by!
