[ARCHIVED] Man Jailed after Admitting to Armed Robbery of Turkey Hill Store in Lancaster City

A Strasburg man will serve up to 14 years in prison for robbing a Turkey Hill store last year in Lancaster city.

Aurelio Lopez, 44, recently pleaded guilty in Lancaster County Court to felony robbery regarding the July 9, 2017, incident at Turkey Hill, 870 Manor Street.

In exchange for the plea, Lopez will serve 7 to 14 years in prison, in accordance with a plea agreement arranged by First Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Larsen.

Lancaster County Judge Jeffery Wright accepted the plea terms and ordered sentence.

On July 9, 2017, Lopez, with a hard object wrapped in a T-shirt, held the object to a store clerk’s head while demanding money.

Lopez fled with $100, which he is ordered to pay in restitution.

Lopes was arrested about a week after the robbery.

Lancaster city police Detective Robert Whiteford filed charges.
