[ARCHIVED] Byrne Justice Assistance Grant awarded to Lancaster

On motion of Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner Lehman, it was agreed for the County of Lancaster, acting on behalf of the District Attorney’s Office, to approve the following:

Grant Award With: Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD)
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Purpose: To accept the award from the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program to purchase a Leica Geosystems ScanStation PS20 3D Laser Scanner and training. The ScanStation will be used for investigative purposes by the Lancaster County Major Crimes Unit and Lancaster County Crash Investigation Unit. The ScanStation will also be available to the Lancaster County SERT for building pre-scans.

Amount/Term: Not to exceed $149,950.40 for the period October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015 (100% PCCD/JAG funding) for the first year. Funding is not guaranteed for a second year, but if awarded, continuation would be a maximum of 70% of year one grant total.
