A Lancaster man recently pleaded guilty to human trafficking regarding an East Lampeter Township sting operation last year.
Tysheem R. Williams, 34, pleaded guilty to trafficking, promoting prostitution and related charges.
In exchange for the plea, Williams will serve 2 to 6 years in prison, followed by 4 years on probation, in accordance with an agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Karen Mansfield.
Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker accepted the plea and ordered sentence.
East Lampeter Township police Detective Christopher Jones charged Williams with bringing a woman from New York to Lancaster County, telling her she would be working as a prostitute.
Police used undercover tactics to determine the woman, under Williams’ directive, met customer(s) at a hotel on Lincoln Highway East. The hotel room was rented under Williams’ name, police determined.
Williams also pleaded to counts of simple assault and institutional vandalism (damaging a holding cell) for unrelated incidents in East Lampeter Township and Lancaster city.
