Rangers patrol the parks using fully equipped patrol vehicles. They also patrol the parks, including trails, on foot and on bike.
While they are trained in law enforcement, a large part of Park Ranger work is to provide emergency services, such as first aid, and are trained in CPR/AED. Park Rangers also assist visitors in locating park facilities.
For more information about the Park Rangers or to report illegal activity within the County Parks, visit the Rangers' Station or call 717-295-3605. For emergencies requiring immediate attention, also call 911.
