A driveway leads from Eshelman Mill Road to the camping area parking lot. It is bordered on the west by Mill Creek, and includes both woodland and grassy areas.
Reservations Mill Creek Camping Area requires a permit and can be reserved by contacting the Lancaster County Department of Parks & Recreation at (717) 299-8215 or 299-8220 during regular business hours: M-F 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For fees, click here. The Mill Creek Camping Area is located in the southern end of Lancaster County Central Park, in the woods and fields behind the Environmental Center. 
This tent-only camping area spans ten acres and has five campsites. Campsites 1 through 4 can accomodate up to 8 people. Campsite 5 can be used for larger groups; however, groups of more than 8 campers must apply for a special large group permit.
