Spend summer at the County pool in Central Park. This 15,255 square feet pool ranges in depth from a shallow beach-like wading area to a six ft. deep end. Kids and adults can splash into the pool by slipping down a tubular water slide or get drenched under the pool's many funky water fountains. The pool complex includes an expansive lawn for sunbathing, relaxing, and playing games. There is even a basketball court, playground and food vending machines in the complex. 2013 FEE SCHEDULE Lancaster County Central Park Swimming Pool Weekends Open: May 25, 26 & 27, August 31, September 1 & 2 Opening Daily (subject to change): June 1 through August 25 Closed August 26 through August 30 Pool hours*: 12:00PM to 7:00PM, Monday – Saturday 1:00PM to 7:00PM, Sundays * In August, the Pool will close at 6:00 PM: Mondays - Fridays For pool season membership and day pass fees, click here. For membership application, click here. Mastercard and VISA credit cards are accepted for season passes at the Parks Main Office, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Pool cannot accept Daily Admission payment in the form of a check or credit card.
Infants age 9 to 24 months, toddlers age 24 to 48 months, and children age 3 years and older can learn to swim at the County Pool. To obtain a season membership or day pass or to register for swimming lessons, visit the Park Office, located in Central Park, off Chesapeake St., in front of the pool anytime, Mon. – Fri., 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. or call 299-8215 or 299-8220.
Please note: All children under the age of 3 MUST wear a swim diaper and plastic or rubber pants over the swim diaper. These are ideal for day care and other groups that plan to visit the pool on a daily basis. Please read the instructions below before completing an application:
Group Season Pass Rules 1. Counselors must supervise campers while in the water, grass areas, concession stand, playground, locker rooms and basketball court and must maintain visual and vocal contact at all times. 2. The minimum age for counselors supervising children is 16 years old. 3. All campers must arrive with the staff and leave when the entire group is leaving. 4. All groups will meet outside of the gate, review pool rules and form a single file line with a counselor at the beginning, middle and end of the line. 5. All campers and counselors must pass a swim test before using the slides. 6. Sports equipment will only be issued to counselors, and should only be returned by counselors. 7. All camps should provide their own first aid supplies. In the event additional supplies are needed, campers will not be treated without a counselor present. 8. Every camper and counselor must be counted in the number of group members admitted to the pool. (Counselors do not receive free admission.) Click here for a Group Season Membership Application. Please read the instructions below before completing the form:
Instructions for Pool Discount Daily Admission Form (Only for Groups of 20 or More People) 1. Groups must have 20 or more people on the day of admission, or pay for at least 20 people. To qualify for discount, you must arrive as a group. 2. All adults and children must pay admission – counselors and chaperones will not be admitted free of charge. 3. Forms must be received at least one week prior to the date of your pool visit. Forms can be mailed to Lancaster County Parks, 4. You are required to pay as a group in one lump sum. 5. If you have an exact count for admission on the day of your pool visit, please pay in advance by mailing a check or by calling with your credit card number.
6. If your count will not be complete until the day of your pool visit, please pay in Cash Only that day at the POOL Office.
7. Please note: Payments by check, cash or credit card can only be accepted at the Park Main Office, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
