Adult Day Services provides a safe, supervised daytime setting for older impaired adults to have opportunities for socialization and involvement in activities.  It offers respite and support for families and caregivers.

     Adults 60 years and older having functional impairments who require supervision are eligible for admission. An assessment by the Office of Aging and Adult Daily Living staff needs to be completed to determine eligibility as does a medical evaluation.

     Cost sharing is determined by consumer and spouse income and financial resources. Transportation may be available for Lancaster County residents. Lift-vans are available for wheel-chair bound consumers.

     Services include a hot noon meal and nutritious snacks, medication administration, case management and an individualized care plan.  Activities include an exercise program, discussion groups, arts and crafts, music and recreational and educational activities.
