A Letter from Lancaster County Commissioners

   LANCASTER Rx RECEIVES NACo AWARD

Rx Card

Dear Residents of Lancaster County,

On May 29, 2009, we had the privilege of initiating the Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Card program; a FREE discount card that offers Lancaster County residents an average savings of 28.8% on prescription drugs not covered by another health insurance plan.

Since its start, the Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Card program has saved Lancaster County residents over $1,588,215.73 on 79,530 prescription medications. We are encouraged and humbled by the number of people who have already benefited from the program, and hope many more will find the discount card to be of value in the months ahead.

The Lancaster County Prescription Drug Discount Card may be used by all county residents, regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage, and is accepted at 99 pharmacies in Lancaster County and over 59,000 pharmacies nationwide. There are no enrollment forms or membership fees to use the card.

During these difficult economic times, we are especially glad to bring this program to Lancaster County and hope that every resident who may benefit from the program has the opportunity to do so.

We encourage you, our residents, to visit one of our many partnering distribution locations, listed below, to obtain a discount card or visit www.caremark.com/naco to print one online.  We also encourage you to take additional cards to share with your friends, neighbors, organizations, businesses, and churches.

If you have any questions about the program, please do not hesitate to call our office at 299-8300 or the toll-free hotline at 1-877-321-2652.  You may also visit www.caremark.com/naco.

Sincerely,

Scott F. Martin, Chairman

Dennis P. Stuckey, Vice-Chairman
