Position Available for Appointment:

Lancaster County Convention Center Authority Board Member

Closes at 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2007

The Board of Lancaster County Commissioners is now accepting applications from interested persons for appointment to the Lancaster County Convention Center Authority Board.  The current term for this appointment is due to expire on September 15, 2007.

Interested applicants must submit a resume of their full educational background including related work experience and a list of three references and responses to the attached questionnaire.  All paperwork must be sent to Commissioner Dick Shellenberger, 50 North Duke Street, P.O. Box 83480, Lancaster, PA  17608-3480.

Resumes and questionnaire responses will not be accepted after 5:00pm on Tuesday, March, 20, 2007.  No telephone calls or e-mails will be accepted.  Please note that all applicants shall be subject to and by submitting a resume agree to reference checks which will be provided confidentially to each Commissioner.  On March 21, 2007, at 9:15 a.m., at the Board of Commissioners regular public meeting, the Commissioners intend to vote in public session to interview not less than three (if there are three or more applications) and not more than six applicants. 

On March 27, 2007, at 1:30 p.m., at the Board of Commissioners’ recessed public work session, the Board of Commissioners intends to conduct public interviews of the selected applicants.  Each interviewee, in alphabetical order by last name, will be asked questions at the public meeting by each Commissioner and given an opportunity to respond, and members of the public may listen but not question the interviewees or comment during the interview process.

On March 28, 2007, at 9:15 a.m., at the Board of Commissioners’ regularly scheduled meeting, the Board of Commissioners intends to vote in public session to select and appoint one of the interviewees to the Lancaster Convention Center Authority Board for the term beginning September 15, 2007.

4.                  Are you willing to attend all, or at least most, public LCCCA Board and Committee meetings from April through September, until you take office in September?

5.                  What will your primary goals and objectives be as a member of the LCCCA Board?
