FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 Contact: Andrea MCCue, chief clerk 717-299-8300 (LANCASTER) The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners announce that President Obama has declared the County of Lancaster a Disaster Area through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). As a result, residents and business owners who sustained losses from the flood may apply for assistance by calling the FEMA Hotline at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or registering on the FEMA website at www.DisasterAssistance.gov. FEMA Phone lines are open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. until further notice. USEFUL RESOURCES: Copies of the below listed documents may be viewed on the County website at www.co.lancaster.pa.us or requested from the Commissioners’ Office by calling 717-299-8300. COUNTY UPDATE SCHEDULED: Randy Gockley, Lancaster County’s Emergency Management Director, will discuss flood damage and recovery efforts in Lancaster County at the September 14, 2011 Commissioners’ Meeting. This meeting will take place at 9:15 a.m. at 150 North Queen Street, Room 701, Lancaster, PA 17603. COUNTY-OWNED BRIDGE CLOSURE UPDATE: Following is a list of County-owned bridges that remain closed.
