The Fire Company is staffed with volunteer personnel providing fire and rescue services to the Borough and surrounding communities.  Fund raising and donations, finance the operations/maintenance and purchase of equipment for the department.  The Company is always looking for volunteers so please consider giving some of your time or monetary contributions to the fire department.  Lives may depend on it.  The Company holds monthly meeting on the second Monday of each month at 7pm in the Fire Hall on South Poplar Street.

 

Adopt-A-Highway (roadside clean-up)

Please thank the Adamstown Women’s Club for their excellent efforts in keeping Route 272 free of litter.  Club members do a quarterly clean-up of a two mile stretch of the roadway.

 

Town Yard Sales

The Adamstown Lions Club sponsors the annual yard sale event for residents of the Borough.  They provide the advertising and food stands.  Money raised during the event is then put back into the community through their varied sponsorship of groups and activities in and for the Borough.  This event typically takes place the end of April/beginning of May.  Contact a club member for more information or watch for information distributed in the Grapevine.

 

For those residents unable to participate in the annual event, yard sales can be held at any other time. The Borough does not need to be advised of the event but request that any signs posted be removed immediately following the sale.
